Welcome to My Story

Hello! Welcome and I hope this website helps to answer any beginning questions you have. If not, please feel free to contact me.

I started my career working as supportive staff in therapeutic classrooms and residential placements. This has consistently been where my interests and background are, at the intersection of education and psychology. I earned by Bachelors degree from Buffalo State’s Psychology program, which gave me a solid foundation to build from. From there, I attended and earned my Masters and Certification as a School Psychologist from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY. School psychology lends itself specifically to really trying to understand how individual children and adolescents learn best so that we can help inform those most important stakeholders like parents and teachers. This gave me an in depth understanding of the pieces that need to fit together so that students can be successful in reading, writing and math. I have been an active school psychologist in districts for almost 15 years. I have also served as a CSE chair for three years.

I then returned to higher education to complete my doctoral degree from Alfred University. This gave me the opportunity to dive deeper into many areas, including an internship in a clinical and diagnostic setting.

I am so glad you are here and my goal is to be an advocate for students but also hope to help put some pieces together to help students and families find what works best for them.
